Cami de Bidale is ideally situated for the TDF08, with the Tourmalet route even passing our drive!
Hosting a maximum of 8 guests - individuals, couples and small groups welcome - we invite you to soak up the atmosphere of the Tour with us at Cami-de-Bidale. Coinciding with Bastille Day, the local towns of Bagneres and Lourdes promise a carnival atmosphere and spectacular fireworks.
We cater in particular to cyclists wishing to experience the Tour and the famous Cols, and are on hand to provide advice on the best vantage points and rides. Depending on demand, we can additionally offer guided rides, picnics and vehicle support during your stay.

Sunday 13th July
The Tour riders enter the Pyrenees, traversing the Cat 1 Col de Peyresourde and Col d'Aspin to finish at the spa town of Bagneres-de-Bigorre. Staying 10km from Bagneres, and 35km from the summit of Col d'Aspin, you can easily ride to a great vantage point for the Tour.
Monday 14th July

On this explosive stage, they face the legendary Tourmalet followed by a summit finish at historic Hautacam. Fit riders have the choice of watching the ascent on the Col de Tourmalet (43 km) or the finish at Hautacam (34 km). And, as today's route passes Cami de Bidale, you even have the option to watch them from the swimming pool!
In the evening why not visit nearby Lourdes for the Bastille day celebrations and fireworks.
Tuesday 15th July
While the Tour riders have a well-earned rest day in Pau, you have the chance to cycle local rides, including a pick of classic Cols.
Wednesday 16th July

On its final day in the Hautes-Pyrénées, the Tour starts from Lannemezan. After breakfast, you can drive or ride to the start and see the top riders prepare and set off.
